About AMR Industries, Inc.
Commercial or Custom
Formulas since 1971
AMR Industries manufactures and packages liquid thermoset resin systems for the electronics and aerospace industries, which are used by companies to adhere components in their products together or encapsulate them in epoxy. AMR Industries specializes in selling custom-packaged resin systems including epoxy, polyurethane, polysulfide, and silicone. It offers both commercial and custom formulas. Product lines include epoxy adhesives, epoxy encapsulants, coatings, silicone encapsulants, marking inks, and polysulfide sealants. AMR Industries offers separate components, ready-to-mix kits, products that meet various specifications (such as MIL spec), and premixed degassed and frozen products in various-sized containers.
A Word About Frozen Materials
EASY TO USE
All premixed, degassed and frozen material can be used directly
from the container. No other special equipment is necessary. Manual or Automatic
systems can be sued to fit a wide range of production requirements.
SHIPPING
AMR prepared resin systems are insulation packaged in dry ice for
shipment throughout the country. This unique method assures the longest pot-life
(usage after thawing) possible.
STORAGE
The best storage temperature is -40degreeF or colder for most polymer
systems. This can be accomplished with either a mechanical freezer or an inexpensive
dry ice chest. If storage presents a problem, AMR can suggest sources for suitable
equipment. The storage life of frozen resin systems varies from 7 days to 6
months depending on the sensitivity of the particular system. AMR can arrange
shipments to coincide with production requirements thus allowing the greatest
usability of any particular system.
COST REDUCTION
Job prepared quantities are accurately proportioned to fit line
application. Waste is all but eliminated in the available sizes from 1cc to
12 oz. In determining the correct size applicator, have one of our AMR representatives
review your needs. AMR polyethylene cartridges are relatively inexpensive,
disposable and can be used either manually or with an automatic dispenser.
The elimination of material waste and time required for clean-up can add up
to increased profits.
CONSISTENT QUALITY
When mixing small batches for limited applications, the
correct ratio of catalyst to resin is difficult to achieve. For instance, when
5cc of adhesive material is required and the resin-catalyst ratio is 100 to
5, it is extremely critical that 5 parts resin to 0.25 parts catalyst be correctly
blended. Normally, with the exception of a well-equipped laboratory, this is
not feasible. The alternative is to mix a larger than needed batch to obtain
the required accuracy and discard (waste) the excess. We at AMR have the sated
equipment accuracy and as an added safeguard blend large quantities. Instead
of discarding the excess, the mixed (catalyzed) resin is, under scientifically
controlled conditions, quick-frozen for future application. You only pay for
the material used and the containers are disposable.
AMR meets the requirements of MIL-I-45208.
